OTTAWA REBEL'S SR. WOMEN'S TEAM EMBARKS ON EXCITING NEW CHAPTER WITH THE GATINEAU VALKYRIE'S ORGANIZATION
Gatineau, December 14, 2023 — The Ottawa Rebel's Sr. Women's team is thrilled to announce their integration into the Gatineau Valkyrie's organization, marking a strategic move that promises an exciting future for women's football in the region. The team will be rebranded as the Gatineau Sr. Women's Valkyries.
Having last competed in the Central Canadian Women's Football League (CCWFL), the Ottawa Rebel's decision to join forces with the Gatineau Valkyrie's organization is driven by a shared vision of elevating women's football and fostering a community of passionate athletes.
The Gatineau Vikings Sr. Women's Valkyries will inherit a level for women on their current Under 19 team to continue playing the game. The collaboration between the two organizations aims to create a community of women 19 and over to come together to learn, develop and enjoy the game of Tackle Football.
Athletes and Coaches interested in joining the Gatineau Sr. Women's Valkyries are encouraged to contact the club and be part of this exciting new chapter in women's football.
